When signing your child up for Solon Recreation Leagues, be aware that participants will be placed on teams in either neighborhood or school to the best ability of the sports program coordinators. Requests for certain coaches and teammates cannot always be honored.

Head coaches are encouraged to sign up to coach a team in their respective leagues and are allowed the choice of selecting ONE assistant coach to help them run their team before teams are put together or drafted. Once teams are selected, we encourage all parents to help out the assigned coaches if needed.

If participants sign up for a  league after teams have already either been drafted or put together, they will be placed on a team based on numbers throughout the league in order to make teams even and fair. There is a possibility that they will not make it onto a team with children from their neighborhood or school. If the league is full, they will be placed on a waiting list and moved onto a team if a spot becomes available.

If a participant is in a league where there is a DRAFT to select teams, requests cannot and will not be honored. Participants will be on the team that selects them in their respective rounds.
